Uma Virada Chocante
O ataque das Aranhas finalmente cessou, mas apenas por um instante, enquanto buscavam se reagrupar. Na confusão da luta corpo a corpo, os companheiros se separaram, embora cada um estivesse plenamente ciente da calamidade da captura de Bilbo.
As Aranhas pareciam coordenar seu ataque com um propósito, e o sequestro de Bilbo não foi mero acaso. Elas deviam ter procurado o velho Hobbit por algum motivo que só elas conseguiam entender. Por mais sombrio que fosse o evento, havia um vislumbre de esperança: elas claramente o queriam vivo, e isso significava que ele poderia ser resgatado... se ao menos os companheiros pudessem se reunir novamente no Salão de Beorn e então organizar um resgate.
Mas a calmaria na batalha havia passado e as Aranhas estavam se reunindo novamente em maior número. A primeira tarefa era simplesmente sobreviver. Só então um resgate poderia ser tentado.

A Shocking Turn
The onslaught of the Spiders finally paused, but only for a moment as they sought to regroup. In the confusion of the melee, the companions had become separated, though each was fully aware of the calamity of Bilbo´s capture.
The Spiders seemed to coordinate their attack with a purpose, ant the abduction of Bilbo wa not mere happenstance. They must have wanted the aging Hobbit for some purpose only they could understand. Dark as this event was, there was one glimmer of hope in that they clearly wanted him alive, and that meant he could be rescued... if only the companions could gather again at Beorn´s Hall and then stage a rescue.
But the lull in the battle was over and the Spiders were gathering once again in greater numbers. The fist task was simply survival. Only then could a rescue be attempted.
